George Bodenheimer to baseball fans: DROP DEAD

ESPN boss Bodenheimer on the left, joined by his boss, George Mitchell on the right. I suggest boycotting all ESPN and DISNEY advertisers. I WAIT 6 MONTHS FOR BASEBALL. LIKE A FOOL, I TURN ON ESPN TO HEAR ABOUT THE METS AND CARDINALS TONIGHT. NEVER DREAMING DISNEY/ESPN HASN'T LEARNED FROM THEIR OWN EXPERIENCE. NOT A CHANCE. WHAT DO THEY PLASTER ALL OVER THE SCREEN AGAIN AND AGAIN, BARRY BONDS.
  • The baseball fan is left with no alternative: BOYCOTT ALL ESPN AND DISNEY ADVERTISERS.
Addendum: MLB.com 4/3/07, Barry Bonds--in close-up--plastered across the website, photo in center. MLB, Inc. & ESPN are in sync. DO NOT BELIEVE "BUD" WHEN HE DEMURS ABOUT BONDS' RECORD. WHAT MORE PROOF DO YOU NEED? P.S. Sports Business Daily reports today "Bud's" 2005 income was ...$14 MILLION....
  • UPDATE: MLB.com OPENED THE SEASON WITH BONDS' FACE PLASTERED ON THEIR SITE. ON WEDNESDAY, 4/5/07, XM RADIO OPENED ONE OF THEIR SHOWS PLAYING THE AUDIO OF BONDS' HOMERUN THE NIGHT BEFORE.
MONEY IS POURING IN FOR THOSE ON THE GRAVY TRAIN. LOOKS LIKE FANS ARE STUCK ON THE STUPID TRAIN.

  • There is an alternative . . .

Unfortunately, I fear that on Openning day, this issue it will go back in the closet and we will all believe in the sanctity of baseball until someone hits 100 HRs in a season.

If Mitchell puts some pressure on the game . . . something may pop out . . . maybe. Real pressure that can change the environment for the better can only come from the customer . . . the fans.

The fans need to demand a change . . . lookup www.livetrue61.com. Show Baseball what is important; just maybe, the trend will change from big contracts for big bodies . . . to big contracts for integrity!

  • Thanks for your comments and for taking action with your website. You're right that if each fan took some action, it would de-throne the oblivious media powers.
